Compatibility requirements
Compatibility is determined by the motorcycle’s electrical configuration rather than a particular model or year. The headlight must be powered directly by a 6 Volt AC lighting output from the stator. This product is not a replacement for a battery-charging regulator rectifier and is not intended for a DC-powered headlight circuit.
Installation notes
The regulator body must have a clean, reliable ground to bare metal. Confirm the original system voltage, AC lighting arrangement, wiring and mounting location before installation. A weak ground, incorrect wiring or another electrical-system fault can prevent proper regulation.
